Job Description

Performs a variety of basic laboratory research tasks determined by the field and scope of the particular research project/study. Performs tasks related to the research project independently, but within specific guidelines which are subject to review by supervisor and/or other research staff.

The Bulitta Lab in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Senior Researcher.

Highly preferred experience involves various advanced techniques, including dynamic in vitro infection models, biochemical and molecular studies, and sophisticated pharmacometrics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs laboratory experiments independently using established techniques/protocols.
• Sets up protocols, trouble shoots experiments using new or modified laboratory techniques.
• Accurately records experimental procedures and data.
• Prepares and reports results/ data leading to posters, presentations or publications
• May provide guidance to entry-level employees.
• Performs other related duties as assigned in order to meet the goals of the department and institution
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance

Minimum Education and/or Training:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific area is required.

Minimum Experience:

• Two (2) years of relevant, post-degree work experience is required.
• No experience is required with a Master's degree.

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $60,320 - $105,040 per year for the role of Senior Researcher - Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Bulitta Lab).
