Job Title: Radiation Therapist

Location: Coos Bay, OR

Shift: Varied (80 hours per two-week pay period; shift assigned as needed)

Hours/Day: 8

Pay Rate: $41.00 - $64.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Radiation Therapist I for a full-time, permanent position in Coos Bay, OR. This role plays a vital part in the care of oncology patients by assisting with treatment planning, locating tumors, and administering radiation therapy under the supervision of a radiologist and the broader oncologic care team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments using linear accelerators and electron fields.
• Record and maintain accurate patient medical and treatment information.
• Locate tumors using imaging technologies to ensure precise treatment delivery.
• Assist in developing treatment plans as directed by the radiologist and oncology team.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the treatment process.
• Adhere to all protocols and confidentiality regulations.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in clinical radiation oncology practices.
• Capable of operating radiation therapy and office equipment.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrates independent judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with the public.
• Maintains punctual and consistent attendance.
• Comfortable managing changing priorities and working under stress.
• Skilled in computer applications relevant to the position.
