About the Role
A leading packaging and manufacturing operation in Schenectady is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations and drive continuous improvement on the production floor. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about team development, process optimization, and performance excellence.
Lead machine operators in performance improvement and skill development
Train team members on Cleaning, Inspection, and Lubrication (CIL) best practices
Develop and implement line-specific action plans and standardized maintenance procedures
Conduct daily performance reviews, analyze production data, and support issue resolution
Participate in Line Centric Team (LCT) meetings with post-shutdown reviews and corrective actions
Promote safety, productivity, quality, and 5S lean initiatives aligned with division goals
Manage SOP documentation and training materials for hourly employees
3+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in manufacturing
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred)
Proven ability to coach and develop teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Experience with SAP and Power BI reporting tools
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred
Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
