Lead and develop shift production and related activities. Drive production team in meeting and exceeding daily/weekly safety, quality, delivery and cost measurements. Perform other duties as per request of managers within agreed job competences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shift production department, organize tasks and projects for dedicated personnel.
  • Facilitate and lead communication between shifts and coordinate with other departments and functions.
  • Involvement with creation of standard work practices and ensuring employees follow those processes.
  • Close cooperation with other departments to keep and improve quality standards, on time delivery, material flow, etc.
  • Manage production hourly weekly timesheets.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and drive change management within department.
  • Ensure all employees within department are trained on, and following, standard procedures.
  • Conduct quarterly coaching sessions with shift production hourly employees to promote personal development.
  • Manage work and set expectations of team members.
  • Analyze current workflow/processes from all shifts and propose improvements.
  • Work with functional and support teams to create high performance cells and value stream.
  • Follow SWEP’s targets and KPI’s, organize and implement actions to get desired results.
  • Builds teams based on coordinating varied skill sets and capabilities, common goals and specific timelines.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide hands-on training and guidance to employees regarding safe work practices.
  • Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks regularly.
  • Report incidents, hazards, and near-misses to management promptly.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and properly maintained

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Commercial and/or Technical Education or experience in similar position.
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in manufacturing
  • 3 years’ supervisory experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven leadership experience and capability.
  • Exposure in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.
  • Good team spirit, well developed interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of written and oral English language.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, internet and email
  • Ability to use production control systems and standard office automation tools.
  • Ability to self-motivate and possess independent problem solving.
  • Positive attitude and be committed to achieving business excellence.
